It’s impossible to say that this is as safe a pull up bar as any of the other options mentioned above, if only because it uses direct tension and friction (as well as the inclusion of “safety cups”) to keep it in the doorway while you’re working out.

Most of the time that is going to be a problem, but you never want to be worried that you’re going to go crashing to the ground the next time that you pull yourself up in the middle of a workout.
